CASE STUDY: The Comedy Bar Uses New RSVP Functionality for its Kick-Off Event

Situation: 

The Comedy Bar was hosting its inaugural show, Comedy Central Presents the ‘Comics to Watch’ Showcase. This was a free event and there was a lot of buzz surrounding it.

Challenges:

The place needed to be packed for opening night.

With free events, it’s difficult to get a feel for how your event is “selling.”

This was a heavily marketed event and the Comedy Bar needed to make sure that they didn’t over-sell.

Because this was a big show with a huge line-up, check-in would need to be as efficient and fast as possible.

Actions:

We created an ‘RSVP’ event page for the Comedy Bar.

This page allowed fans to reserve a spot for the show quickly and easily.

Fans received an email confirmation with a print-at-home ticket.

Following the RSVP, fans were able to post the event page to Facebook and Twitter, increasing exposure for the show.

Because our event pages are 100% customizable, The Comedy Bar was able to adjust ticket availability at a moments notice.

With out editable guest lists, they were able to add and change names easily.

Results:

SUCCESS!

The event was packed and had a fantastic crowd.

Check-in was fast and efficient. The line moved smoothly. (And, coming this Fall, we’ll be unveiling our FanFueled Scanning app. which will make check-ins even faster. Stay tuned)!

(FanFueled was also in the house for this show and we LOVED it. Great comics, great venues, great night. We can’t wait to go back)!
