Innovative Feature Alert! Add Leader Board / Prizes to Events

We’re excited to introduce you to two BRAND NEW ticketing features that you won’t find ANYWHERE else. As you know, ‘word-of-mouth’ is one of the most powerful and effective forms of marketing and we’re constantly exploring new ways to ignite peer-to-peer referrals for events. To do so, we’ve added two new features that will help venues and event organizers incentivize their fans to spread the word.

First off, event organizers can now advertise a prize on their confirmation page for fans with the most referrals. At FanFueled, we make it extremely easy for ticket buyers to share the events they’re attending via social media and email. We allocate half of our fees to reward fans for sharing, but we’ve noticed that event organizers that add additional rewards for their most influential fans see a HUGE spike in shares and referrals. With the new feature, event organizers upload a prize – whether it’s a free ticket, a complimentary meal, drink specials, merchandise, or anything else they’d like to give away – and the reward will be displayed on the order confirmation page. Every fan will see what’s offered and immediately compete to win by spreading the word. Event organizers benefit through the added promotion and fans get a chance to earn even more rewards!
Event organizers can now also embed a leader board on their event page that will show top referrers. This will allow the event organizers to easily identify their most influential fans and it will help ticket buyers keep track of how many times they have to share to move up the leader board and win.

We can’t wait to see the types of prizes event organizers and venues add to their pages and we’re excited that we get to keep rewarding fans in new, innovative ways.

FanFueled Engage Winner Talks Coachella, Festivals, and Fandom

Last week, we rewarded Kelcie Webster – a FanFueled Engage player – with passes to Coachella. What did she do to earn this awesome prize? SHE PLAYED! That’s it. Kelcie was an active member on two Engage platforms and we rewarded her fan passion with tickets to the sold-out fest. We followed up with her this week to see how her experience was and to get some of her thoughts on festivals, fandom, and FanFueled. 

FanFueled: First off, how was your Coachella experience?
Kelcie Webster: Coachella was a wonderfully HOT experience!! Being from the cold Northeast, it was crazy being at such a desert-like atmosphere, especially this early in the year. But that didn’t stop us from having the time of our lives!!
FF: What was your favorite act / performance?
KW: I thought it was HILARIOUS when the Black Keys brought out the cut-out of Biggy as their “hologram of a rapper passed”. It was also pretty sweet when David Guetta brought Usher out. Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg are two rappers I never thought I’d get to see live, so that was breath-taking as well.
FF: What was your favorite part about Coachella that wasn’t performance-related?
KW: I loved being in California; that’s my dream to move there. And it was fun to pretend that I do live there for a weekend.
FF: How does Coachella stack up against some of the other festivals you’ve attended?
KW: This one had a lot more big names. Usually the festivals I go to have a lot of jam band or electronica artists, but not HUGE celebrities like Usher, Snoop, or Radiohead.
FF: Why did you first sign up for FanFueled Engage?

FF: Why do you think it’s important for artists and festivals to give back to their fans?
KW: It’s a circle. We pay to see them, which keeps them going, so if they give back, it keeps us going!! Plus, they’re benefiting extra because they’re getting promoted as well.

New Feature Alert! Embed a FanFueled Checkout Box in Your Site!

When it comes to online ticketing, you want the checkout process to be as easy as possible. That’s why we have recently added a feature that makes buying tickets on an event organizer’s site seamless and simple.

Now, following the event creation process, a venue or event organizer can grab a short line of html that they can copy-and-paste to their site. After they’ve added the code, a stylized checkout box will appear that mirrors the one on our event page. (See below). Users will be able to select the number of tickets they’d like right from the event organizer’s site and hit ‘Buy Now.’ This will then take them directly to the checkout page!

This allows ticket sellers to streamline the checkout process for their fans and, from an aesthetic point of view, host ticketing right on their site! We added this feature to our site due to feedback from a promoter, so we are extremely flexible and always looking for new ways we can improve the user experience for event organizers and ticket buyers.

Lollapalooza 2012 Lineup Revealed, Win Free Passes on FanFueled Engage!

Ultra Engage Winners Sound Off on the Platform, the Festival, and Fandom!

As you know, FanFueled Engage is the best way to spread the word about your favorite artists and events in order to win some pretty sweet prizes. We recently teamed up with the Ultra Music Festival in Miami to bring the Engage platform to all you EDM fans, and a lucky few won free tickets to the festival. ‘Ultra was amazing! It was everything I expected and more. The vibe was awesome and there were so many great acts. My favorite show was Steve Aoki at the Main Stage on Sunday, and of course Skrillex and 12th Planet at UMF Brazil. My favorite part of the Ultra Engage Platform was that I was able to share the music and videos I love with friends on Facebook. Without people who listen to artists music and go to their concerts, they wouldn’t be were they are. It is important for them to give back to their fans to show that they are thankful because we listen to their sick beats. I advise anyone who participates and wants to be rewarded by FanFueled that you keep trying and earn as many points as you can and don’t get upset if you’re not in the top 5–I wasn’t and I still kept earning points to be noticed. I had never won anything and actually was losing hope and wanted to stop participating because I have had such bad luck before, but I won something! :D Just try your hardest because you never know when you can be rewarded. How was your Ultra experience?
For me Ultra music festival were by far the best 3 days of my life. They couldn’t have been better!

What was the best act you saw? 
Since there were so many amazing acts it’s really hard to choose one, but if I had to name my top 5 they would be: Fatboy Slim, Justice, Steve Aoki, Skrillex, and Armin van Buuren.

What was your favorite part about the Ultra Engage Platform? 
My favorite part of the Ultra Engage Platform was that you were able to win so many cool prizes by just getting points!

Why do you think it’s important for artists, venues and festivals to give back to their fans? 
I think it’s important for festivals, artists, and venues to give back to their fans because, without us, I don’t think these type of things would be possible.
